Established in 1977, Russell Symes and Company has established itself as a world leader in the manufacture of complex micro precision components out of difficult to machine materials. Where consistent high quality is the primary requirement for the finished product, RS&C is our customer’s first choice for precision CNC machining services.
As a preferred supplier to the medical industry we have always made it our business to keep up to date with the latest FDA and TGA regulatory requirements, so as traceability regulations have become more stringent we recognised the need to be able to effectively mark the components we were manufacturing in order to supply our customers with fully traceable medical implants and instruments.
In January 2018 we installed our first Laser Marking Machine, which has allowed us to eliminate the reliance on 3rd party providers for the marking of our machined components. This has resulted in improved quality outcomes, yield and on time delivery performance, as well as reducing costs and lead times.
As the requirement for our Laser Marking and Traceability services has grown we have listened to our customers needs, and in 2019 have established our new business arm: Precision Laser Marking. The purpose of this new operation is to provide ISO 9001 quality certified component marking and traceability as a stand alone service. This now allows our customers to access the same highly experienced and dedicated quality focussed business approach which has made Russell Symes and Company such a success in micro precision component manufacturing, and have this applied to all their products and components, including those that fall outside the scope of the RS&C manufacturing division.
